That being said . . .<\/p>\n

You\u2019ve made the right choice. We know moving is hard, but here is some information to make your first few weeks successful. PRINT OUT THIS GUIDE<\/a>, and put it on your refrigerator just for the first month. It will help you with all of the essentials.\u00a0 This is not everything, but it will keep you busy until you are ready for more.

The Essentials<\/strong><\/span>
\nThis campus is very much \u201cHelp Yourself.\u201d Some people like to sequester themselves and don\u2019t want to be bothered. Others are just shy. At Beatitudes, it is completely OK if you want to stay in your apartment. The problem with that is that if you don’t reach out, people will leave you alone because that is what they think you want. If you see anything below, please feel free to just show up and attend.<\/span><\/p>\n

Keeping Abreast of What\u2019s Happening<\/strong><\/span>
\nWatch Michelle Just with a guest on Channel 1-2 every Tuesday at 2 pm for updates about everything.\u00a0 This video replays on Wednesday through Friday, also at 2 pm.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

You can also use Touchtown or the printed monthly Calendar or the Roadrunner to see what events are happening on any given day.\u00a0 We have Tech Concierge in PS 116 (that’s the Plaza South Building.\u00a0 Bring down your laptop or mobile device.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Making a Phone Call:<\/strong><\/span>
\n\u2022 From your campus phone, to make an outside call: Press 7, then 1, then dial the number.<\/span>
\n\u2022 On Campus, to call other residents, all you need to dial is 1 and their extension number.<\/span><\/p>\n

Town Plaza<\/strong><\/span>
\nTown Plaza is the name of the complex where the Bistro Restaurant, our 24 hour Library, the Plaza Club, Starbucks Coffee Shop, the Gym and the bus stop are all located. Town Plaza is a \u201cHUB\u201d for the Campus. If you are too tired to leave your apartment, we will be glad to deliver your meal to you.

Free Campus Transportation<\/strong><\/span>
\nAround the Block will take you anywhere you would like to go on campus. Just dial 602-544-5007 (x1-5007)<\/strong> for a ride. For off-campus medical trips and legal trips, call 602-995-6135 (x1-6135)<\/strong>\u00a0 Nearby trips are free. There is a small charge for medical trips outside of our neighborhood.\u00a0 Here is a Navigation Cost Calculator<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Roadrunner<\/strong> is the weekly activities guide. It will tell you everything happening on campus for the upcoming week. It comes out every Saturday morning with the Crave.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Crave<\/strong> contains menus and hours of operation for all restaurants.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Campus Bus<\/strong> will take you to Safeway, Frys and Costco, as well as group dine-outs. Look in the Roadrunner Calendar for times and information. This is free service for our residents.\u00a0 Reservations are required.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Community Wednesday <\/strong>is every week at 2:00 pm. Leave this day and time open. Check Roadrunner for event description and location of the event.<\/span><\/p>\n

TV Guide<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We have our own internal TV Channel.\u00a0 You can get a programming guide by CLICKING HERE<\/strong><\/a> or picking one up at the Information Station near the Bistro.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

Uniguest<\/strong><\/span>
\nYou will hear the name Uniguest a lot here.\u00a0 This will be very helpful in starting your life here. It is absolutely NOT required, it will just make things easier.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

You can also use our EZNav System<\/strong><\/a> to find things around the Campus.\u00a0 Use Apartment Number, Building Code, etc and it will show you where that destination is located.<\/span><\/p>\n

Uniguest is an information portal for mobile phones. Ray Gonzales (Marketing) will help you install it on your electronic device. The Uniguest Hotline will give you the names of people to contact for your particular telephone or device. An \u201cAmbassador\u201d will help you learn this system.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Ray (or an Ambassador) can help you input profile information. This will help you locate people with similar interests.<\/span><\/p>\n
