Volunteers Take Note
If you are one of the residents who volunteers for activities, committees, etc., the hours that you commit put dollars in the pockets of your Community. Please submit your hours on paper to Didi Cruz, or directly in Uniguest (Click on CAREcorps, then Volunteer Tracking Sheet). This affects how many federal dollars we can receive for being a nonprofit.  This in turn will help keep our rent and food costs low.

Too many messages on your Unique guest app?

Open Uniguest on your computer or mobile phone.  About the 10th icon down is one that says messages.  If you have 40 or more messages, you are not alone. Normally, these would need to be deleted one at a time, but there is an alternative. Please give a call or text 602-999-4120 to have them automatically deleted

Sidewalk to Somewhere

The short path frequently called The Sidewalk to Nowhere has now been completed! The completion of this segment will give you a roughly 1 mile walk around campus. Interested? Pick up a map at the information station.

Administrative Actions
This past Friday, the administrative staff took tongs, pokers, grabbers and bags to pick up some of the items left on the grounds around the campus.  It is a good model for us to follow. If you see something, pick it up. If you see the staff around, tell them thank you for helping to keep Beatitudes the place to be.

More About Carefeed …

This is a subject that is on everyone’s mind right now. There is nothing you need to do.  Everything will happen automatically. If you want to add someone to… or take someone off… of your notification list (for example, in the event of a water outage) simply get that request to Jon Schilling in IL, Alyssha Campbell in AL, or Sarah Ramias in HCC. That’s all. No additional sign-up or configuration is required.

… and The Roadrunner

The AI-read Roadrunner is back to being read by people. We experimented with AI voices and AI avatars, but nothing beats the human connection. We’ll be recording the main article and highlights of special events at the Sunday 12:00 luncheon in the Plaza Club. The eight minute summary will be broadcast through the week. Every morning between 6:00 and 7:00 am, Saturday through Wednesday between 9:00 and 10:00, and before every Residents Council and Town Hall video.

Smile for the Camera!

If you were meeting someone in the Bistro for the first time, how would you locate them? The obvious answer is to look in Uniguest under Resident Directory. Unfortunately, nearly 65% of people listed in Uniguest do not have a photograph. How can we find you if we don’t know what you look like?

The Communications Committee is working to resolve this problem. At the Town Hall and Residents Council meetings (January 7 and January 14), we will have a table in the back of the room. Please stop by to make sure your photo is in Uniguest. Even if you don’t have the app, many of your potential friends do. Make it easier for them to connect with you.

If anyone does not wish to be photographed, that is a personal choice. We don’t want to force anyone, but adding photos would make this a more tightly-knit and friendly community
